North West Areas 2025
Band Vacancies!
Following on from a busy few weeks of contesting, the band are now working towards our spring/summer period and are looking for new and enthusiastic players to fill some empty chairs!
City of Chester Bluecoat Band are a 2nd section brass band based in the heart of Chester city centre. We are a friendly and sociable bunch who rehearse every Monday and Wednesday, 8pm - 10pm at our bandroom on Bedward Row. The band is currently under the musical direction of Ewan Easton, principal tuba player at the Halle Orchestra.

ConsTest 2024
Another contest done and dusted!! Today has been a great experience for the band and weâre walking away with our heads held high with a 10th place result!
Big thank you to all the organisers today at ConsTest for putting on a fabulous contest and well done to all the bands who took part!
North West Areas 2024
Despite a very disappointing placing of 15th out of 17 bands, the band have had a great day out at Blackpool!!
Big thank you to all our lovely supporters in the audience and those who gave us such positive feedback on our performance 
On a more positive note, our wonderful principal cornet player was awarded for his 60 years of service to brass banding! Well done Phil

More playing around with acoustics and getting uncomfortable at last nights rehearsal! Big thank you to those at Knutsford Little Theatre who let us use their space, we really appreciate it. 3 more days!
Area Preview Evening!
A fantastic evening last night at Acceler8 Bandâs area preview evening! What a great opportunity for the band 
Big thank you to Acceler8 for inviting us to play. Also well done to Crewe Brass, Rode Hall Silver Band and Silk Brass Band for their wonderful performances. All the best for next Sunday!
City of Chester take over Buckley band room
Itâs officially contest month! The band were over in Buckley yesterday evening to get a little bit uncomfortable with a new acoustic

.Big thanks to our friends at Royal Buckley Town Band for letting us use their space. Itâs always a great opportunity to get out of our comfort zone before a contest!
