A lively audience joined the band on Friday 18th January for the first concert of the year. it was also the first opportunity to buy the new band CD 'Deva MMVII - The City of Chester Brass entertains'....

The concert was at St Paul's church in Helsby and Phil Mott. put on a great programme, featuring many of the tracks on the new CD. The programme also included a debut solo from Chris Clowes on Tuba, and from Rob MacDonald on cornet.

Taking part in the concert was Gord Tapp, visiting on business from Canada, who played solo cornet and thoroughly enjoyed his time in the UK!

Checkout our photo-gallery for photo's of the evening.

The Friday Night Music concerts could be held in your local church. The band will charge no fee, but ticket sales are slpit equally between the band and church. Contact us if you're interested - and can drum-up a good sized audience!

One of our 'giggle' of trombones in the training band is celebrating distinction at grade 2 :) Alice Gooda, taught by our resident brass tutor Peter Dalton.

Congratulations Alice!

It won't be too long before Alice and Libby will be ready to give the main band a try, but until then we are still looking for another main band trombone player....

What a weekend!
