<p>Rob Fletcher's wedding!!!</p><p> </p><p>St Mark's Church, Connah's Quay - please be there to be ready for 1130h start. We'll set-up on Friday night so everything should be set. <br /> </p>

The Training Band will be out and about playing to the public down by the river on the 1st September. Please come along and show your support for the City of Chester Training Brass Band

<p>Tickets/car passes from Tony on Friday night. Note your passes will allow on-course parking and tickets access to all areas.</p><p>We need to be on the course and by the Paddock entrance by 1200h. It's suggested cases etc are left in cars - they won't be far away.</p><p>3 groups will be playing from 12.15 until just before 1pm when all players together with lyres and march pads and toast and tunes need to go to the final furlong post.</p><p>We'll then march at around 1.15 down the final furlong to open the meeting.</p><p>After that back to the Paddock, where we'll be playing over the afternoon in a small group (players can rotate playing and enjoy the racing). The group will only play when there are no horses in the Paddock!).</p><p>Then we need to be back at the final furlong marker at 5.40 to follow the last race down to the finish - where we'll play a few more pieces including Jerusalem (words will be in the race card). </p><p>Above is plan a, but be prepared to go to plan b or c as the racecourse wishes :) </p>

Workshop with Foden's players based around the Pontin's test piece, Northern Landscapes. This is a 'closed' workshop for band members. Note a second workshop on October 6th has some vacancies for non-chester members. contact Tony Blain for more info.

<p>The main band rehearsal will be at St Luke's church. A good turnout is essential to make progress on the test piece and the CD pieces. This is also an opportunity for both bands to play together. Training Band starts at 6pm with Ian conducting, with Phil taking over for the later part of the evening.</p><p>Come along and support the training band and have a bit of fun too! </p>
