This past Sunday 23rd saw the 2018 Solo Competition held at the Village Hall Aldford. The band played for the family and friends that came along before getting down to the solo performances. For a few it would be the first time that they had got up in front of family and they did a great job.

Overall winner of the competition was Molly Chambers who did a great performance of Number 15 

This year we put a new trophy up for the winner of the Junior band and that award went to Ryan Jones.

 The adjudicator of the contest was Phil Mottershead who "was taken aback by the performance of the players" . He had a special word of praise for Ryan who has only been playing for 1 month and he showed great potential.

Very well done to all those who took part.
